I was talking more broadly about older, obscure writers, even extending to the ones everyone talks about but no-one reads, as the saying goes. A bit surprising how little people read or are even taught about the past of Ireland. And when it is taught, it feels a lot more "dead" than other histories, in my experience. But the only way I've found of reducing stress is basically reducing interaction with others as much as possible. I do enjoy being around people I like, but there are too many variables at play when interacting with other people. Whereas when I'm isolated I'm secure and in control.
