>Hebei, an old rust-belt region on the front lines of government plans to shutter coal and steel factories bloated with excess capacity, grew by 6.8 percent, even after hundreds of plants were closed.
meanwhile the US rust belt has been in terminal decline for 20 years. does central planning actually work?

man, this game has so much potential
I would kill for a better and more polished Grand Strategy game that plays in Victorian age
>>70414726
Nah only Paradox can polish it now and they are ultra jews with their dlcs. V2 was solid and very enjoyable when I played it with ottos and japs, and they say it's a perfect game with mods, never tried them though.
What I want is a polished and modern(read: not dumbed down) version of SM's Alpha Centauri.

It really sucks that paradox has a monopoly on grande strategy. They are such greedy cunts, I am sure if a halway decent developer team would create a grand strategy game, they would get filthy rich
