Go into your internet settings, DNS should be one of the most obvious settings to change, no matter what platform you're on

Google makes a couple of DNS servers available for public use: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

I don't know if they will solve the problem your compatriot is referring to though because I don't even know what the problem is. But perhaps that is what he's suggesting. During the Arab spring, people painted those DNS server addresses on walls for people to use, because they could circumvent government restrictions on accessing certain sites.

DNS means domain name service - it's basically like a phone book that your computer uses to locate every website that you try and access. You will already be using a DNS server because you need one to access any website.
>>
>>70324617
this will fix it, you can also just go into your command prompt and manually look it up
nslookup whatever.com 8.8.8.8
its the dumbest way to block shit

dude, there's nothing we can do about it other than perhaps coming to terms with the fact that it is inevitable because the political elite here simply can't fathom a world where they no longer depend on US by letting their corporations coming here and the illegals to move far north into their country, it had to happen sooner or later. Also, there are no other options, PAN is just a bunch of thieves (they're just a little bit less cancerous than PRI, but thieves nonetheless), PRD is doomed to fail miserably because no one knows what they stand for and Morena is just a bunch of muh seize of means of production n shiiiiiieeet gibsmedat NOW (and we both know it is true, AMLO is among the most retarded politicians this placehas ever seen, and god almighty have mercy on us if that jackass gets into office). Mexico dug its own tomb when it decided to never care about their commercial relationships with other countries, it always burgerland this, burgerland that, burgerland always, and to top it off, the mentality of the average mexican doesn't help because a considerable percentage of them are far more concerned about watching football all day long, getting drunk or AYOOO LOOK AT THAT BOOTY
>bu bu but not everyone is like this
yes, but when over 50% does it then you've got a serious problem on your hands.
The PRI managed to stay in power for too long because they gave the population what they wanted:
1.- certainity about what will happen tomorrow ,and by this i mean: you will be able to pass down your job to your children who in turn will do the ame with his children.
2.- something to entertainment: everything is going to shit
DUDE GOOOOLLLLLL [enter football team]... meanwhile, the entire country is going to shit

maybe this will finally make people realize that the ways of the past is what caused this means to being with (obviously foreign influence played an important role, but still).
>>
>>70325654
>because the political elite here simply can't fathom a world where they no longer depend on US

the ones who will suffer the most will be the children, but this is what we get for being so naive and short-sighted people, it is unfortunate but utterly necessary if the population is to realize nepotism, lazyness and gismedat will just bring about problems.
You might say i'm being an asshole or something, but the sad reality is that the system here is completely broken and beyond saving, i don't believe in any political party for they are pretty much the same, if it were someone totall independent and who addresses the real issues for what they are i might try to be more optimistic, but it's the same all the goddamned time.

the problem with TTP is that it would have allowed corporations to sue nations at the sole sign of someone threatening their likely profits. It would have given them even more power, and if someone dares going agsint us, we'd have taken this case to private tribunals (obviously paid by the coporations), which they would have won every single time, fucking everyone up. That """"free trade agreement"""" was just a nafta on steroids, outsourcing nonstop, exploitation never seen before and complete disregard for human dignity of the countries where all the jobs would have gone to (in this particular case, Vietnam where such thing as work ethics doesn't exist).
It was an abomination, if you ask me

talk form experience, my country became ridiculously dependent upon US and now it is likely shtf thanks to it. TPP = NAFTA on steroids
>>
>>70326604
So lets not allow corporations to sue nations and keep the burgers out. Burger corporations were the one shilling for all the shit things in TPP, just like how burger corporations fucked everyone in Mexico and the US with NAFTA, now that they are gone, we should make a better deal.
>>
>>70326604
>it would have allowed corporations to sue nations
That already happens, and it's been happening since before NAFTA
>someone threatening their likely profits
It doesn't work like that. The state has to take an action with the intent to deprive a corporation of their investment tantamount to expropriation.
>obviously paid by the coporations
Actually paid for by the World Bank Group.
>they would have won every single time
Only about 35% of the time do ISDS tribunals rule in favor of the corporation.

>>

I remember and know all of that about TPP. When NAFTA was signed, people here were protesting, some of those people didn't want to end NAFTA but instead improve it to actually make it fair, it didn't work because people didn't listen, but we should try the same with TPP, to make it better. Now, I don't think it is going to work either, but I am saying that we shouldn't give up just like that. Damn it man, this really pisses me off.

>>70326763
THIS, I wasn't a fan of some of the stuff in that agreement and all the secrecy surrounding negotiations was unnecessary and an obvious PR mistake but the horror stories are largely exaggerated, the deal should have been re-worked, not scraped.

In all fairness we will likely get eventual deals with Australia and New Zealand which is really the only ones worth it we were missing in that group. Trump may force us into more FTAs with that region, and China in particular, however which is something we really have to be careful on. We had somehow dodged the bullet on too many deals with the Chinese, unlike South America, and at this point IMHO the government should rather be looking into expanding business with the partners we already have, particularly the EU and Japan.
>>
>>70326918
are you really that lazy...sigh, anyway:
>TPP
1.- it'd have allowed corporations to sue contries if their likely profits were to be compromised by the actions of the government. These cases would have been taken to private tribunals paid by the corporations, where they would have won every single time.
2.- it'd have allowed to outsource even more american/canadian jobs to other countries, even nations like Mexico or Peru would have got BTFO because, as you may already know, in asian countries such as Vietnam (another member country) such thing as work ethics doesn't exist, so: YAY MORE SLAVES
3.- insane copyright regulations. what this guy say: >>70326828 was just a part of it, it was even worst. Comiket and joujinshis would have got BTFO too

4.- for third world nations, it owuld have meant the end of generic medicine, and for first world nations medicine even more expensive (if i recall correctly, they also wanted to copyrighted surgery procedures). Mosanto (now Bayer) would have gotten even more power (you know, i plant my GMO and my toxic as fuc pesticide and if your ppulation complains and try to do something i'll suit the shit out of you and then keep poisoning your population and your soil nonstop).

5.- the outsourcing would have led to even more illegal immigration

>>
>>70327132
>the end of generic medicine
No, it wouldn't have been, any attempt to retroactively deny rights in effect to Mexican citizens would have been ruled unconstitutional and this is one where vested interests in Mexico (eg Dr. Simi and the green party owned by his relatives) would have balanced out undue influence in the court system.

Now this is the thing with skipping to providing people the cliff notes without actually going through the whole thing, AGAIN, there were legit concerns for this agreement but a lot of the accusations are wild exaggerations.
>>
>>70327226
>it wouldn't have been, any attempt to retroactively deny rights in effect to Mexican citizens would have been ruled unconstitutional

dude, have you been paying attention to what is happening in the country? they give a flying fuck about what is or not constitutional, just look at what Durte did in veracruz, the cancer treatment as well as the medicine was fake, they knew it and ddidn't care, and if they didn't show mercy to children with cancer what makes you think it will be different on a larger scale? as long as they get their money form the companies nothing else matters. Also, law enforcement agencies can not be trusted, they have become their hitmen, literally.
>>
>>70327219
What are you even going on about?

>>70327226
I think I once had an argument with you over GMOs, where you called me a Monsanto shill and I was actually a bit rude, but see? The anti-GMO people like to make incredible exaggerations out of thin air and without facts or studies to support their claims, and in doing so, they have actually cause enormous damage in South East Asia and Africa by preventing people to use technologies so many developed nations take for granted. Now, I am not sure about TPP, but if they are the same as the anti-GMO guys, the bad parts of TPP also might be exaggerations. Or maybe not.

I'm >>70327035 and >>70327226 I do agree on GMOs being shit, I want to make that clear, it[s something we don't need and we shouldn't allow on it fucks up subsistence farmers and the lobby nehind it is freedom caucus Republican out of whack (eg you have to pay royalties to use seeds you saved from a previous harvest) even regardless of th position you might take regarding whether GMOs are safe or not, which I[m guessing >>70327180 thinks ends the argumentMonsanto is acting in ways which are the equivalent of dumping and unfair competition, nevermind I agree with >>70327219 we need to start aligning with Europe and sell our stuff there, we are already the world[s biggest producer of organic products why fuck a value added industry for the sake of a few American agricorps driving Mexican farmers further into poverty?

We are not India, it isn[t about whether we can produce enough food (water is our only limit) and since our country[s economic advantage lies in fruits and vegetables, not grains, it isn't about profit either.

Literally the only reason this is being supported is Monsanto is throwing a lot of money around lobbying in Mexico City, nothing more.

GMOs are not equal to Monsanto. I have always wanted that GMOs were developed by public universities and in a non-profit way because they actually solve a lot of problems while causing none of the alleged bads. But really, being against Monsanto specifically is just as dumb as being against Coca-Cola specifically. Now, it doesn't matter how much you hate them or not or how bad they actually are or not, because Monsanto is NOT a synonym of GMO. And nobody has ever help them more than the anti-GMO people who puts ridiculous regulations, making it almost impossible for non-profit organizations to make their research, and giving the entire monopoly to a few companies instead.

Man don't go full retard paranoid, this is a problem with a lot of people not understanding how government and laws work, the Duarte thing is hideous but unrelated, and it's also unrelated to narcos infiltrating government and police.

Some parts of the system do work (eg Banxico or Hacienda) and they stick puntually to rules because otherwise macroeconomics and investment would go to shit. This is a matter of larger economic policy, the PRI fucked farmers over with NAFTA not because it was evil or corrupt but because it was incompetent.

When it comes to public health policy (anyone remembers the swine flu) the government is in fact in hands of actual physicians and people whose degrees are not for show. The supreme court may play fast and loose on some political issues but it's very punctual on others, you talk as if we had no government and while in some areas that holds true if I thought like you I would be fighting open revolution. Realize we still haven't gotten to the point of nothing to loose and we should avoid panic and irrationality, especially NOW.

I think I remember that one, hopefully it didn't get too rude. I still as you can see hold against GMOs but it[s not a topic worth discussing desu, I wrote >>70327390 simply to clarify my position.

>>70327509
what you don't seem to take into account is the lobby they practice to use their pesticides as well as the copyright shit this guy>>70327390
is talking about. If TPP were to be signed, say good bye to your non-profit GMO's or anything related to it because they literally would go full: WHERE DA COPYRIGHT AT, YOU DON'T HAVE ONE: COPS COPS TAKE HIM INTO CUSTODY. Go read that thing man, the copyright bullshit they tried to impose on the countries was insane, NAFTA was a fucking joke compared to it
>>
>>70327560
and see what NAFTA and the corruption got us

>we still haven't gotten to the point of nothing to loose
not for long man, if government keeps doing what they have up until now, shtf, such scenrio isn't far-fetched
>>
>>70327560
>but it's not a topic worth discussing desu
Fair enough.

>>70327578
One last thing, pesticides are not as bad as you think. Not for the envoirment or for you, they are the main reason you don't die thanks to parasites, and GMOs actually use LESS pesticides as they are stronger. And as for the copyright laws, every single seed company in the world, whether GMO or not, does this.

But alright, enough GMO arguments, I am out of the thread. Good night lads.
