But if I could change history, I would make it so Byzantinum remained Christian, and so the borders would go as far as Finland, Baltics, Ukraine, Romania, and Anatolian penninsula. Pretty much EU today plus Turkey but everyone is Christian.
If I could change history further, I would make it look like pic related. All of those regions would be inhabited by western european ethnicities, thriving with western european art, architecture, culture, religion and lifestyle. Constantinople would be our capital.
