is you are cunts navy hilariously small?
netherlands
i guess its alright
Could be improved quite a bit, to say the least
Brazilian navy is a joke. They even keep an aircraft carrier that doesn't even work just to claim Brazil has an aircraft carrier.
>>70207975
Compared to what it was yeah...
>>70207975
Why did you attack the Hyundai ship?
>>70208185
made a deal with maersk
>2017
>not powering your vessels with coal
Lmao
>>70207975
>is you are cunts navy hilariously small?
1. Germany
2. Yes, our subs are quite good I guess
>>70207975
>is you are cunts navy hilariously small?
we got a more capable navy than our neighbors, but that's about it. Russia could still steamroll us even if we combined all nordick navies.
>>70207975
>some few dozen ships and a bunch of boats
yes
>>70207975
Its both
Most of ships are small but we have alot of them
>>70208139
Sounds very Brazilian. You guys keep doing meme shit, instead of building stuff you need.
>>70207975
Ours is so ludicrously large it could probably take on the rest of the world and win.
it should be proportionate to the size of your country's waters
>>70209222
>>70207975
Pic says enough
Wake me up
>>70209495
tbf though its all pretty modern, greece for example is still running 10 frigates from the 70s while we are getting 4 brand new ones soon
>>70207975
We fear our escort fleet getting smaller. We're in serious danger of it.
I bet anything that the entire MCM fleet will be ditched for maybe four more of the supposed Type 31 class.
>>70207975
what is military? food? some memes?
japan hasn't it anymore. we were lost of war.
>>70209626
Whatever happened to the two power standard?
>>70207975
>be czech
>no navy at all
our navy started developing 4 ice breaker-corvettes to replace our aging minesweepers and supplement our missile boats
>is you are cunts navy hilariously small?
Flag.
Compared to what it was, yes. I wouldn't mind if our modern surface combatants were properly armed but they're all meme warships.
>>70209987
>>70209856
We lost our will and way.
>>70209597

You're doing just fine.

>>70207975
We have the fifth largest Navy in the world. Does that count? I think it FUCKING does.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhQLyEke6n8
>>70210344
>7750 tons DD
it's a really small force. because Japan is not actually armed.
Compared to what it was, yes. We used to have modern ships bavk in the day and even 2 aircraft carriers.
Our destroyers/corvettes are old AF and we barely use them, but at least we still have 3 subs.
>>70210344
Its because our nuclear armed maniac seems to be busy with other things, so no need for a large military
>>70208232
DAS
BOOT
>>70208185
We sacrifice shitty Asian cars to the sea so she won't swallow us
>>70210696
Wasn't the type 209 subs built in the 70s tho?
>>70209987
It's still fucking huge compared to the rest of the world though.
Large navies have simply become obsolete. Missiles just do everything nowadays.
>>70210082
*cough*midway*cough*
>>70210639
Kinda reminds me of Takao from that angle.
>>70211043
Large warships are obsolete; but I don't feel that large navies are.
>>70207975
We need more ships definitely. They're building 8 of these Type 26 frigates which will partially replace other ships, as well as the two new aircraft carriers. Currently still building the remaining Astute-class submarines, 7 in total.
>>70209597
>4 brand new ones soon
Please tell me they are build in our cunt and not in fucking Romania this time.
>When you are poor and a street shitter and still manage to have the fifth largest Navy to remove kebab and no one appreciates you in the thread.
>>70210696
Was actually surprised to learn that Argentina actually used to have a decent navy.
Too bad you went up against the eternal anglo, Falklands should go to Argentina, but your military simply didn't have the experience to be effective against a long established and experienced one like the UK.
>>70209626
>>70211181
>>70211368
Dont know what our dictators were thinking 2bh. It was the equivalent of trying to invade russia during winter.
>>70211602
Thanks for buying American.
>>70211602
I read they assumed UK wouldn't bother since the Islands wouldn't be worth the money and resources to fight for it, and they were right actually.
They just chose the absolute wrong time to do it, because hardline right-wing nut Thatcher was in charge. If it had been another prime minister at the time you might have gotten away with it.
>>70211288
the hull was build in romania on one of the shipyards of damen still
>>70211602
>>70207975
Yes, pic related, the entire Slovenian "navy". At least Netherlands has some nice frigates.
>>70211691
your welcome (pls give f-16's)
>>70208160
I think it's pointless to compare with the past. A single modern destroyer holds more fire power than an entire WW2 fleet.
The UK still has a very decent navy. It's just that any navy looks pathetic when compared to the US.
viva la patria n shiet
>>70211883
If only you could fix your economy build a decent military and blow the fuck out the eternal anglo and retake the Malvinas.
>>70211749
The UK are probably in a better position now, especially when the carriers are up and running properly, compared to what they were in just before the Falklands. Just look at the refuelling plan for the Vulcan bombers.
>>70208266
It's too small for the amount of coast we have
Compared to our other two forces, it's quite shitty.
Mostly because they only care about the carrier.
>>70208139
That's exactly why tho. Carriers are only for force projection.
Non-existent and I don't know of anyone from here serving in the Danish navy - which itself isn't large.
>>70211181
Some more subs would be nice
Small force here, send aircraft pls
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_ships_of_the_Chilean_Navy
>>70212647
They're building 4 new subs of the Dreadnought-class, but they'll be a replacement for the Vanguard-class which houses our nuclear missiles.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ships_of_the_Brazilian_Navy
These fucking retards are killing it because of that carrier.
> meme tier navy that buys every fucking ship type under the sun?
I dunno, it's good that we're reportedly competent when it comes to operations but the Indonesian military in general is a logistical nightmare... Pretty stupid too considering the Navy is the most logistically competent out of all the branches...
So could be worse...
>>70207975
By world standards no, but by our own lofty standards we need at least 50-60 more ships.
>>70214923
Buy more ASTROS pls.
>>70215080
You're already overpowered as it is tbqh. China isn't getting close any time soon.
>>70215260
Wished we went forward with the HIMARS desu, but in the ToT triumphed over all... Neat little platforms though
>>70215507
HIMARS are nice too.
>tfw used to have largest navy in the entire world
>>70215818
JUST
>>70212299
It doesn't sail, because if it tried to sail, it would catch on fire.
>>70210344
Actually we are, for a strictly pacifist nation with no enemies and no need for power projection we do alright, the navy does have the capabilities to build most of it's newer ships and we mantain mirror fleets in the Atlantic and Pacific.
>>70211084
>Large warships are obsolete; but I don't feel that large navies are.
Neck yourself. Warships are becoming larger.
>>70215344
>overpowered
We'll never be overpowered until we can go to war with God Himself and sink heaven.
>>70216487
>Warships are becoming larger.
Because people are retarded.
>>70216215
I know, they have it for force projection.
It's literally just for dickwave, working or not. Carriers are useless for that our navy is supposed to do, which is only patrol the coast.
Also they're finally waking up and probably will start putting money on new corvettes.
They'll also receive new OPV's and Diesel subs this year.
>>70215818
Yes we know that feel.
>>70216545
>using a the zumwalt as an example
Zumwalt is a cruiser no matter what those chucklefucks in the Navy decide to call it in order to hide it in their budget. Shit example.
It is not overly large for a cruiser.
>>70215818
>>70216650
>used to
Don't know that feel tbqh
Soon.
>>70216545
And you know this because you're an expert on naval architecture? No, because requirements are changing. Computing power, power generation, sensors and crew habitation are all causing warship tonnage growth. USN is notorious for having fucking dogshit habitation because they're non-sexy like radars or VLS tubes.
>>70216800
>because they're non-sexy like radars or VLS tubes.
hur brain fart
*because all the room is taken up by radars or VLS tubes.
>>70216848
Not him but VLS tubes and radars are much more important than the comfort of some useless seaman.
If he wantes to be comfortable he should have gone to college.
>>70216990
It really isn't. Moral is key to any force as equipment can only be as good as the one who uses it. If you've got stressed, tired crew they'll be performing far worse than a crew who have a good standard of accommodation.
This is how you fail to retain experienced people and experienced people are invaluable.
>>70214923
think you're doing alright buying >our ships desu they can't be that bad
>>70216756
It will forever be known by me as the RRS Boaty McBoatface
>>70208216
It's actually some sort of dirty but cheap oil. It used to smoke like the even when it was new.
Apparently the Russian Navy doesn't give a shit about opposing forces knowing where they are at all times.
>>70207975
from ruling the waves to now, yes definitely
>>70217339
>Boaty McBoatface
That name will live on on one of the ship's submersibles.
Canada
>13,600 personnel, 30 ships (63 including auxiliaries)
>30 ships
Yes
>yfw preparations are being made to actually carry out orders from President Trump to create a 350 ship Navy

>>70217856
>>70218005

>tfw in this movie the entire continent was fucked except for the benelux

>>70219216
That one at the back is smiling at me.
>>70207975
no much possibilities to use it, but could be bigger.
>>70217569

New subs coming this year.
Better than nothing.
at least we have perfomances for common folk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaHOMbP4Z_A
>>70219746
Who are you going to use it against?
>>70207975
Small but effective. We have literally won all of our naval battles.
>>70219884
Ur mum's pussy.
It's a threat to national security.
>>70219869
China strong
>>70217569
>implying you can hide something as big as an aircraft carrier in the current year
>>70212377
Sorry to be off topic, but I hope you could help me with correcting my attempt at writing Faroese in >>70220081. You seem to be the only Faroe Islander here rn,
>>70220285
It's more difficult than you think.
Carriers are big, the ocean is even bigger.
>>70207975
I'm fairly sure our navy gets cuts in favor of our land military.
Being in a civil war and all that.
>>70219884
No one. Brazilian military equipment leaves the factory full of defects, problems and cracks on the welding everywhere. This thing will probably go to the bottom of the ocean before ever seeing combat or anything similar.
>build ship
>displacement of 5800
>call it frigate
>>70211298
You could nuke North India. That is where all your Muslims are.
>>70221513
Not really, the marines are actually the fighting force with the best reputation, do keep in mind however that while the need for operational resources is greater for the navy the army is far larger. Traditionally a formula has been used whereas the navy gets one third the resources the army gets. Mind you I'm not saying is fair, much like the air force the navy has been cucked by SEDENA but other than large infrastructure/asset investments the formula does work out in terms of payroll. There's over 50,000 Navy personel vs 300,000 plus for the army.
>>70223203
>combined
are they in a unified chain of command?
>>70229608
we control the belgian navy yea
