What is the relationship like between China and the Diaspora Chinese?
Do the Chinese overseas still consider themselves to have an affinity with China like with Jewish communities overseas and Israel?
Do the Chinese in China look down on the Chinese overseas?
hello! Chinese diaspora here :)
we like China, but we don't want to go back
Jews all want to live in Israel for some reason
I'm treated really well when I go back despite not speaking the language perfectly.
>Peru
WANG PENG'D
>asian restaurant in germany
>vietnam, taiwan, thailand, indonesia, mongolia
>never ever chinese
while I know that most chinese living in germany work in IT I still dont believe we got so many.
All chinese diaspora identify as a chinese citizen first despite what country they were actually born in
This is why they are such a leech on society
Fuck no.

I'm a Chinese germanaboo
Life is suffering :(
I use my soft power skills to direct the flow of conversation suiting my business interests.
I refuse to drink the alcohol they push to me, unless they make me an offer I cannot refuse.

The Cantonese and Hokkien diaspora that immigrated here around 5 decennia back just want to be Dutch, most of them don't teach their children any form of Chinese.
The more recent Mandarin diaspora and exchange students are more proud of China, but are generally a bit more educated and thus have less trouble adjusting.
Still there are quite many people who have trouble with the Dutch language, and that's why Chinese are marked as problem immigrants, along with Mor*ccans and T*rks.

Most of them seem more attached to the historical Chinese civilization than to the CCP and the People's Republic though. At least that's my experience from my Singaporean friends insulting "Chinamen".
