No. The Call to Prayer (adhan) is more popular now.

i can understand takeo ischi and die eoodys being memes but others like franzl lang seem like theyre just having fun
>>70114162
They do, but outside from bavaria noone care about it and even there it's more a countryside thing. It is assoziated with Alms (Alm is a field on a mountain pasture) where the herders used Yodeling to communicate with each other in the first place over long distance with there echo in the mountains
>>70113968
In America, yes
>>70114236
that's a shame, on a similar note whats the german electronic music scene like now days? i imagine techno is dead and traps is slightly popular with bad crowds
>>70114301
Why? Just see yodeling as a local tradition in bavaria and then you have a accurate view on it
not realy into EDM, I mostly listen to mainstream dubstep (skrillex) and dutch trance (or anthem trance or whatever you like to call it) and these two scenes are steady
>>70113968
Its not and it never was.
>>70114162
Takeo Ischi is not a meme. Franz Lang himself educated this dude in Jodeln and he become our most precious Joddler.
Takeo Ischi is a Bavarian Treasure and not a Meme!
>>70114367
>dubstep and trance
is this bait?
>>70114727
We can not all listen to to American Niggerpop until death bitchboy.

>>70114367
true, thats a positive way to look at it. i suppose i was hoping for more regional varieties
>>70114502
sorry, i mean ischi is only famous in most places for his chicken yodeling, which i cant understand at all
