Its not a matter of "it didn't happen" its a matter of who did it. The young turks dismantled the same empire that order the relocation of the armenians. So in a way, the young turks fought against the Ottoman empire. Since the young turks achieved their goal, they see themselves as a seperate nation and do not claim responsibility for the death of the Armenians.
