Why do Americans buy their homes in flatpacks from IKEA?
it is cost effective as everybody knows
>>69983144
It's completely different. Ikea you have to build the shit yourself, houses are built by mexican slave laborers.
>>69983144
Yes
>>69983144
looks like garbage
It is garbage
You don't do the same in Australia? I thought it was an Anglo thing
>>69983696
And you should see the thanks we get for that
>>69983144
It's cost effective, so it's very popular in the new fast-growing communities in the South. Places like Pembroke Pines, Florida, and Miramar, Florida, are the ultimate example of this. Cookie-cutter houses as far as the eye can see, it's actually a little unnerving.
But it's not like this in most of the country, most towns, especially further north, actually have some variety in their houses.

We wouldn't mind if you would just come here legally....
>>69983144
It's cheaper, and money is the driving factor in US culture. Not a judgement, just an observation.
I'd move out of an American inner-city for one of those things too.
>>69985412
But you;d have to pay full wages then and provide safety gear, medical, etc.
>>69985450
Yes, but then you would have to pay income taxes. Plus it would be harder for us to resent you for taking the jobs, since you would be Americans just like us instead of scummy foreigners.
>>69985450
I wonder how many dead mexicans get buried under new housing developments after dying on the worksite
The rest of the world builds from brick.
>>69985542
>dying on the worksite
Lol, this isn't Qatar. The worksites are perfectly safe. Nobody wants dead spics lying around, because it slows down work and because it's horrible publicity. If one of us dies, the media will be all over it like flies on a corpse.

Here is a street view of a typical home in my neighborhood. You kangaroo fuckers are just jealous. You are not even close to our living standards.
American houses are some of the worst isolated shit homes I have encountered. Thins as shit walls. Literally being indoors and still freezing. They don't even have triple glazing windows.
>>69985763
The view from above.
>>69985812
>flat and square
lul
>>69985812
>shit ton of people packed into a small place in the middle of a fucking desert
kek, I don't envy suburban/urban fags one bit
>>69985888
yeah everyone lives in a fucking desert, you fucking retard
>>69985812
>no backyards, houses all super close together
>literally endless space around them
Typical backyard in New Zealand.
>>69985933
>>69985888
>the desert is what the problem is
>>69985812
yes, that's right, asswipe, the view from above
>>69985518
I pay income tax, quite a lot too.
100% illegal
>>69985811
It's probably because, instead of living in flats or apartments like most lower middle class Europeans, lower middle class Americans opt to live in shittily made, but spacious, and newer, homes. Wealthy enough Americans still live in good houses.
>>69986028
Hell, I'd live in a trailer on 10 acres of my own land before I moved into one of these shitty not-even-half-acre lots of clone houses.
>>69983144
Well it's cost effective, easier to create layered and luxurious designs, and American homes were built from wood right from the beginning.
I do like how strong, long lasting, and weather resistant European homes are though.
But here we have insurance, so if a home is knocked down, then boom the insurance policy kicks in and we build a new one right away.
I do despise the cookie cutter American neighborhoods. For most it's simply a cost thing. But with a little time and money, we do have some really cool homes here.
