You can't bring back feudal nations and expect people to want to live in them. Literally only had the borders they did because the dukes/kings/whatevers agreed on them, inherited them, fought wars over them, etc.

Examples: Castile, Leon, Aragon, Bavaria, Silesia, Skane, Wessex, Mercia, Savoy, and more.

The only countries that make sense here are the partition of Belgium, Galicia, Basque, Britanny, Cornwall, Wales

Toulouse has been at the heart of the Occitan world for centuries and it's a huge city, too bad nowadays it's going down the same path as most French cities. Same with Montpellier. Béziers and Nimes are shadows of themselves. I know Albi is pretty good tho
