Gubmint stopped subsidizing/controlling gas prices, and it was the straw that broke the camel's back after a presidency full of scandals.

There will be no revolution since we have a democracy and several opposition partes on top of independent candidates. The president's party (PRI) will get rekt in this years state elections though.
