i've seen many, but many, of halfies. also, culturaly speaking, they are not that different from the rest of Brazilians.

Yes, there is. Brazil is quite big and our population spread over it for a long time, instead of Americans that only really went West after the discovery of gold.

That managed to create a very diverse culture around the country. People from Roraima (our northernmost state) is very different from Rio Grande do Sul (guess where it is), which is also very different from Brasília (middle of the country). They all speak Portuguese, but have very specific traditions and customs.

One example: In the South, many people like to drink chimarrão (pic related), while in the North only those from the South living there do it.

Also, the South adn Southeast received a lot of European immigrants, while other regions did not (and had bigger Amerindian and/or black population).

North is poorer because of demograhic and geographics reasons(jungle you can't build shit and northeast is savanna and desert), so that's why the HDI there are so low, while the southern part of the country is way more developed because hundred years of development only in this part of the country.

Also the culture is extremely different, northern and southern part of the countries are literally diferent countries if you don't know where you are.

Same shit between Rio and São Paulo, everything is different.
