Point is having both č and ć could lead to lots of confusion. Not to mention that diacritics are often ignored by foreigners, while digraphs and multigraphs are not.
Tbh we should use two alternative alphabets, one with diacritics (č, ć, ś, ż, ź, š etc.) for hand-writing, and one with digraphs (cz, ci, rz, zi, sz etc.) for computers and text messages. It doesn't make much sense to keep both at the same time.

Not writing diacritics is only the case in netspeak. Every slightly official writing piece has to have them. Its not as if there are any talks about removing diacritics completely. Other stuff in czech is waay more complicated like where is y/i, mně/mě, s/z. Im even having trouble with capital letters sometimes honestly.

Slovinčina ani ruština nie sú "príliš neslovanské", skôr naopak - slovinčina sa vyvíjala v prostredí vysokých hôr, kde sa vyvinulo mnoho navzájom nezrozumiteľných nárečí a zachovalo mnoho praslovanských archaizmov. Ruština zas nie je archaický jazyk, no má veľa slov z cirkevnej slovančiny.

It makes sense our language would be heavily influenced by german and english since czech almost died out at one point and the reformers had to use rare village czech and chronicles that were hundreds of years old as basis for the newly revived czech.
Czech is therefore not a language that evolved organically for centuries alongside academic languages like german and french, instead it nearly died out. Can you see why we need an institution like that?

Tak u vás je aj rozdiel medzi obecnou a spisovnou češtinou, to chápem. Samozrejme, ani my v bežnom pokeci nehovoríme rovnako ako vo formálnom prejave, ale nemáme veci ako -ej miesto -y (mejdlo, sejr apod.), v pred slovami začínajúcimi na o (vokno, voči, vodtud...), iné skloňovanie apod. The problem is when your language gets a shit ton of loanwords that there were perfectly good native words before for. I am glad for 19th century language cleaners, this way we can understand Czech and they can understand us much better than it would be otherwise, because Slovaks would not understand all their germanisms (except for Western Slovakia that had germanisms AND hungarisms) and they would not understand our hungarisms.

I agree rabid purism is stupid but we should not allow Persian or English level lexical replacement under the guise of "its just evolution, mane".
