Every estonian I have met ever understood finnish, while finns struggle to understand estonian. I honestly dont know why that is, I guess because estonian language is developed more than finnish and estonians still understand old estonian words which are literally same as finnish

1. Finns are the only people i like besides other Estonians
2. Everytime i've been there with my family to visit everyone has been very friendly towards us
3. Generally people like them and act nice towards them
4. For us, Finnish is a gibberish version of Estonian, alot of same words and the grammar is same but also alot of gibberish words inbetween we dont know, for Finns its the same for us
But all the basic words and sentences are basically the same in both languages
for example if i would say : Hei, minu nimi on Jarmo, ma olen kakskümmend aastat vana" every finn would understand it
