This is question for all the Americans on here:

Me and 3 other friends will go to the US at the end of May this year, where we will rent a motorhome for a bit more than 2 weeks.

We will be picking up the motorhome in Iowa and then we have the option of driving to the following locations:

>LA,
>San Francisco,
>Denver,
>Seattle,
>New York or
>Orlando

Which one of the above locations would you recommend, and which locations would you recommend visiting on the way? We wanna go to some nice national parks, see some cool nature in general and drink a lot of beers.

Don't bother posting ghettos etc.; I will google your suggestions.

It takes 2-3 days of non-stop driving to reach new york from Iowa

It takes 3-5 days to reach orlando

I'd recommend staying within a state or two as to not waste spend half your time driving

I'd recommend this path if you decide to go to Denver. You can stop by the Gateway Arch in St.Louis, Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, some major thing in Dallas (World Aquarium, JFK assassination site etc.), the Alamo in San Antonio, the White Sands desert on a swoop through New Mexico, then finally Denver.

What this guy said, the US is fucking huge. You don't take daytrips out of a state unless you're staying on the border.

And if you take >>69747381 's advice these are worthwhile city locations in a state or two.

They're staying in a motorhome so that's why I assumed that a continuous path was viable.

Had to google what exactly that was, now I see. In that situation, OP, the country is open to you. Only limit is time and money.

If you're really willing to drive all the way to Seattle go and spend some time in the Olympic National Park
>>
if you want to see the most amount of stuff in the shortest amount of time, i recommend the north east corridor. between boston and D.C.

In that case I'd recommend you go west into Colorado/Utah. How much you see just depends how many days you want to spend driving.

Here's the size of Denmark compared to the size of the USA. As can see, Iowa is bigger than your entire country.
