Welsh bros get in here, also can anyone tell me how to learn welsh the quickest and most effective way for everyday use, I'm an anglo at uni here but I figure I should learn the lingo, I've tried studying a bit but I've not much of an idea how to start properly learning the language.

I don't see how it's possible to be functionally fluent without totally immersing yourself in welsh language life. I only became functional in Irish after time in the Gaeltacht, like most Dubliners I think. Even still, English is just more practical for daily life
