Reddit doesn't want to be associated with the cancer that is Canada.
Input from East Asians or Southeast Asians would be appreciated.
Do you people experience much in the way of empathy or guilt? It's my impression that guilt, and empathy in particular, are found only among Europeans in a meaningful way. If you do experience empathy and/or guilt, is it ever triggered by people outside of your family or, for that matter, people outside of your ethnic group?
Is it limited to parents, siblings and children, as I suspect it is?
Asians are robot-like insect people devoid of deep and meaningful emotional connections. They build face-saving societies in which people literally help one another save face, or avoid shame. Shame is just a special term for embarrassment or social pain/humiliation -- it's not a complex phenomenon. Are Europeans the only group capable of "feeling" the pain of non-relatives and non-humans?
