There is one in my house, they taste good but I prefer the juice.
Yeah, it's super common, I'm not a big fan, tastes like sweet fruit.

Wait, the fruit is edible? Why isn't it comercialized with such a large industry around cashews? Seems wasteful, they could find some use/process for the fruit.

cajú é bom pra enfiar no cu

There's a soda made of that called 'cajuina'. That shit is my childhood.

Cashew juice is super common around here, but according to this article (in portuguese) 90% goes to waste.

Oh we have of those around here. Kinda common too.
The fruits are edible but I would recommend to have only the juice version.
Anyway, the fruit is indeed sweet, but it's very fibrous and has a nasty after effect on your mouth and tongue. Hard to describe since I haven't eat one in ages, but think of it as some sort of oily/sticky consistency that "dries" your mouth. Also, very messy to eat.

It's ok taste, not bad and usually drank as medicine for cooling your body. And you are mistaking the poisonous seed if not baked properly and consumed for a certain amount
