Why don't you just integrate it into your history at school rather than have only a month

Pretty straightforward really, we pay lip service to the slaves who helped build America and acknowledge what they have done for this country but don't do any real celebration, e.g. no days off or anything like that.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is the third day of January and it's a Federal Holiday. It always falls on a Monday so that (((bankers))) have a guaranteed three-day weekend in mid-January. Everyone who is not in banking or government still has to show up to work, though.
