Why do americans build their houses like this ? Do they even need a foreman and workers to do this or then can just build their houses with ten buddies and some duct tape?
>>69553138
because it's not "americans" in charge of construction
americans buy premade homes built by realestate companies who will hire unskilled labor to do it as quickly as possible so trained labor is just for maintenance
it's pure greed economics

They literally just take planks and nail-gun them together.

It's not just houses. I believe that we do this for most buildings up to at least 4 stories.

America has a throw-away culture. Think of the house as a candy wrapper. Eventually it will be thrown out along with the tenants.

I live in a 19th century brick house. I can post all day. We put chinks and poos in the paper houses.

Senpai, pretty much everywhere west of the east coast has been settled for less than 200 years and much of it built up only in the last century; we still have a frontier mentality when it comes to building - the important shit (courthouses, banks, churches, rich people's houses etc.) gets built big and in stone and centrally located and the people make do with buildings quickly knocked out with local materials - sod on the prairie, log cabins in the forests, adobe in the south. People were poor and moved around a lot.

I made a thread the yesterday about americans building their houses out of wood, they look like I could punch a hole through their walls, that feels really unsafe.
