Hmm... it's kind of a slower game infantry-wise and I guess it feels like it rewards accuracy more, but the times when people would sit on the aircraft carrier and snipe people 1000 meters away are gone, too.

Vehicle wise, planes don't feel so disconnected from the ground battle anymore, it's also easier to take them out as well as tanks (1 dedicated Assault player can carry enough shit to down 1 tank) so tanks have to be more careful.

Yes, all the major cities got Toko's which is how we call "non-domestic" supermarkets, they often stock products for major migrant groups, mainly Suriname, previous Dutch Antilles + Aruba, Chinese and Indonesian things. Regular supermarkets sometimes have a foreign products section, but often pretty small, these mostly consist of Polish and Turkish products.
We also got a couple of Surinam restaurants.
Eindhoven got a delivery place called "Suriname grannies cook for you".

My mom loves boat travel and hates planes, so I'm trying to plan this Bahamian boat trip, and boy it's kind of hard.

What I want to do is take us from Fort Lauderdale to Freeport (mail boat, I think it goes a couple times a week) and then from Freeport to Nassau (Bahamas Ferries company) and then from Nassau to Bimini (mail boat, goes a few times a month) and then from Bimini to Miami (American ferry company, runs several times a week) and then get a shuttle or something the 30 minutes back to Fort Lauderdale.

I haven't worked it out yet but I sure hope it's possible (all within the same week in March).

On a more serious note, I slacked off too much in my first semester and didn't take the work load seriously. I still have my scholarship but I feel like a complete ass for not doing my coursework justice. I had >=40/50 in my courseworks but fucked up the final exams and didn't get the A's I wanted.

I didn't look at any past papers or actually practised anything for the finals so I guess I deserved it. I've realised the workload is too much for me for a semester so I plan on doing some year 2/3 courses in the summer breaks so I can spread out the work more conveniently.

Sorry for blog posting but your opinion is worth gold to me.

In first year there are many course but their course load is light as fuck
once you get to upper years, one 3rd year course will feel like 4 first
year courses.

This time is to practice your study skills, time management and get accustomed
to tertiary education lecture styles. If you wait until 2nd year to get serious, you would not be ready
and you will feel like you are sinking. In my degree and many others second year was to
weed out the weak who did not prepare.

Hindu man elopes with Muslim woman, reject each own's religion and both convert to Christianity. I was raised at home under Christianity but also Hinduism and Islam because of habits my parents still kept. They wanted me to be as appreciative as possible so I was almost as frequent in the mosque and temple as I was in church. Being close with my extended family on both sides further bolstered it. I am blessed with having open-minded parents and a loving family, although they still would like me to follow a religion than not.

It's probably not that uncommon in Trinidad. My grandfather is Hindu and my grandmother came from a Muslim family but converted to Christianity. They kept a lot of their traditions. My grandfather wont eat beef and my grandmother still doesn't eat pork. They celebrate all the major Christian and Hindu holidays. My family isn't very religious. I think they just like celebrating holidays.

Current Aruban names are a horrible trend that dates back to the 80's/90's, wherein parents give their children names that are a truly abominable combination of their own names. That or they make it up because it's so unique tee hee!

Before that, common names were mostly Spanish. (Francisco, Maria, Catarina.) Our equivalent to John Doe is Buchi Juan.
