my sister dragged me to see the Rogue Shit and I was rolling my eyes throughout the entire movie

how many fucking nostalgic references are they going to drop to buoy a lackluster plot, boring characters, and just generally a shit movie that shouldn't have ever been made?

Not to mention I almost fell asleep during it. The Danes should really reverse-deport Mads Mikkelsen after this, I mean this and that cell-phone-app advertisement he did, he's really fallen on hard times after Jagten and Hannibal, hasn't he?

It's sad because he was actually the only memorable face in the movie. The lead actress had less life than the CGI robo-puppet and the Captain was basically unfunny-HanSolo. Terrible casting all around, but it doesn't really matter when your plot is weaker than the first ten pages of your average Young Adult book at Barnes and Nobles. I seriously felt like the story came out of an unedited Wookiepedia fan fiction page that somehow avoided the axe through a glitch in the system.

That's weird. I enjoyed Rogue One tremendously. Despite being a one-off its characters were better than most of the other ones in Star Wars, and it was cool to see a different perspective on the SW world. I thought the style of the movie was for the most part superior to other Star Wars, especially the old ones which are too simplistic and idealistic in tone for me. Yes, I understand they're simply a product of their time, and it has a nostalgia factor to it, but I still think it's generally inferior, and overrated, though they're still entertaining movies and worth the watch for sure.
