Alcohol is for losers.
>>
>>69310545
Many, many times
>>
>>69310545
I don't drink that much anyway. More like once every three months. It isn't worth it.

I'll be nicer to my gf.

This.

Alcohol is for degenerates

I can't drink more often because my health is fucked up a little.
>>
>>69311045
There's just no point.

It pretty much only has downsides.
>>
>>69311137
>It pretty much only has downsides.
Like what?
>>
>>69311069
Same here.

My psychiatrist told me it's okay if I drink a little, but the two times I've gone to a hospital with some mild mania+psychosis going on, one of the first things they ask me is when the last time I drank alcohol was (along with outright drugs like marihuana or LSD). Must be for a reason.
>>
>>69311239
- costs money
- is bad for your health
- smells bad
- tastes bad
- makes you act like an idiot
- literally no upsides besides "it's le fun xD"
- Empty calories

Personally I'm more into Performance Enhancement than harming performance.

Id rather enjoy modafinil or adderall and testosterone than recreational drugs.
>>
>>69311137
>It pretty much only has downsides.

It's been shown time and time again that a little bit of alcohol has massive health benefits.
>>
>>69311349
>- is bad for your health

False, false, false, false.

>- makes you act like an idiot

This is true if you're an idiot deep down. Otherwise it's not.

>- Empty calories

What kind of retarded woman are you?
>>
>>69311370
>It's been shown time and time again that a little bit of alcohol has massive health benefits.

[citation needed]

And no, "It may have a positive effect on stress levels which is good for you" does not count as "massive health benefits".
>>
>>69311279
I've got problems with my stomach basically. Also, I could get rash and acne after drinking for too long. Also been to a hospital after having several parties in a row.
>>

>More than 100 prospective studies show an inverse association between moderate drinking and risk of heart attack, ischemic (clot-caused) stroke, peripheral vascular disease, sudden cardiac death, and death from all cardiovascular causes. (4) The effect is fairly consistent, corresponding to a 25 percent to 40 percent reduction in risk.

>False, false, false, false.

How is it false?
It tastes horrendous, unless you drink something with a bunch of sugar or some sort of chase.

>This is true if you're an idiot deep down. Otherwise it's not.

Why do drunk people always act like retards?

>What kind of retarded woman are you?

What? It's empty calories and it harmfully effects protein synthesis. Sorry buddy but some people actually care about their athletic performance.
>>
>>69311529

It tastes delicious, so therefore your claim is false. In fact, people will pay out the ass to taste certain kinds of alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is absolutely fantastic in taste, smell, and health benefits. It truly is the water of life, as the ancients named it.
>>
>>69311349
>- costs money
Not too much
>- is bad for your health
Not for everyone if you drink advisedly. Every fucking thing in this world is bad you do it too much.
>- smells bad
>- tastes bad
There are so many kinds of alcohol beverages. No one loves ALL of them. I just can't say that Guinness smells or tastes bad.
>- makes you act like an idiot
Maybe sometimes, but you have fun and are happy.
>- literally no upsides besides "it's le fun xD"
To have fun is a pretty important thing in this shitty world.
>- Empty calories
Read the second case.
>>
>>69311612
>>69311696
tbqh i don't see the appeal, it's only ever harmed my athletic performance and workflow.

I guess if you do it in moderation it's not so bad but I haven't drank an alcoholic beverage in two years and I don't miss it one bit.
>>
>>69312197
I think you take it too serious man. You should consider it as a recreation. Mental recreation. But maybe it is just not for you.

>>
>>69310545
i stopped drinking alcohol a month ago
>>
>>69310545
that's silly, there is nothing wrong with drinking alcohol from time to time, wine and beer are good for you even, the big problem with alcohol is binge drinking and limiting your drinking to one day of the month is setting yourself up for failure.
>>
>>69312554
I just like to use things for practical value, and a while back I thought "Why am I drinking this disgusting concoction, what does it offer me?" and I stopped forever.

It just seems like a cultural thing, and people rarely question it. It's just "natural" to have some alcohol for every event - birthday, wedding, funeral, birth of new child, when something happy happens, when something bad happens, to celebrate a new job, to feel better about getting fired, etc.

Just seems silly to me as a whole.

I'll stick to testosterone and modafinil desu.
>>
>>69310545
Alcohol is not a problem, I don't drink. But I will try to stop smoking.
>>
>>69312912
Beer and wine taste good tho.
>>
>>69313053
just me tbqh but it honestly tastes like piss and wine is just like cranberry juice or something. REALLY don't see the appeal for those two types of alcohol specifically.

Only drinks I've really enjoyed are like rum and coke, smirnoff ice or Vodka-sprite but at they're apparently for "girls", and at the point I just ask myself "Why?".

you will definitely drink alcohol more than once a month in 2017
>>
>>69313234

You just have a childish palate. That's all.
>>
>>69313335
I am okay with this
>>
I got drunk for the first time, second and third this month

Third time I realized that I didn't really care for it even if the first time was great
>>
>>69313234
What kind of beer did you have? I didn't really like it at first because I was mostly drinking Bud and Coors, but there's a pretty broad spectrum out there.
Wine is at its best when you're pairing it with a really good meal.
>>
>>69313641
Can't really recall, it's been quite some time.
>>
>>69312912
I only drink where there is a party around, not even once all alone.

If you drink alone, you have a problem.

I'm just wierd and shy, while drunk everything seems soo much better, so careless, like someone took away my wierdness and shyness for a moment at least.
>>
>>69314019
>If you drink alone, you have a problem.
you might, but I don't
>>
>>69314019
>I'm just wierd and shy, while drunk everything seems soo much better, so careless, like someone took away my wierdness and shyness for a moment at least.

Yeah fair enough but that seems to just address the symptoms rather than the problem itself.

If you're reserved and not that great socially it might be a better idea to just expose yourself to social interaction and work on it more, since you can't always have a drink or two before social interactions.
>>
>>69314019
>If you drink alone, you have a problem.

Drinking alone is only a problem if it's a problem
There's nothing inherently wrong with drinking alone

explain this?
>>
>>69314117
I'm not that shy, I'm fairly normal, just have light anxiety at times, I'm tense and stressed without a reason, after few beers I'm 100% relaxed and that's what I like in partying
>>
>>69311239
What are the upsides? It increases your confidence for 2 hours thats the only reason people drink. Try increasing your confidence without drugs and destroying your body

Oh so alcohol a literal poison isn't bad for your health? What do they teach you over there? Also lol at trying to look manly by saying alcholol doesn't taste bad
>>
>>69311349
>- costs money
fair
>- is bad for your health
best argument
>- smells bad
varies by type of alcohol
>- tastes bad
varies by type of alcohol
>- makes you act like an idiot
fair, but most people know their limits
>- literally no upsides besides "it's le fun xD"
yes, people like to drink, socialise, go to the club etc it's fun, lighten up
>- Empty calories
fair but does also vary by type of alcohol

In conclusion, drinking, as with most things in life, must be done in moderation.
>>
>>69310545
