Welcome to /flag/, a general thread to talk about all things flags & vexillology, like flag design, symbolism and history, as well as flag collections.

>What are extra flags?
Extra Flags is an open-source (code is on GitHub) and non-malicious (no IP is accessed) plugin that adds regional flags, like states and provinces, to the already existing national flags on /int/, /pol/ and /sp/, by storing users' post number along with the selected regional flags, and retrieving it from a database when a thread is loaded. You can add your region's flag by requesting it on the GitHub page (or ITT).

What is up with that color scheme?
Bad luck/timing with French Polynesia, I was posting in /flag/ from there until ~ 2 months ago
Also this is missing North Korea
Bumping with history's worst flags
This is the flag of French Sudan
It's just the French flag with a black stick figure on it
This is the flag of Pocatello, Idaho
Currently in use

Ah
Just collected a new Dutch municipality, and while looking its location up to place it on my map I found its Coat of Arms, which feature two modest Germanic cavemen
