Why is it that when an American mentions muh heritage everyone insults them, but when a Canadian, Aussie, or Kiwi, does it no one cares?

If somebody from Newfoundland says they're Irish, ir someone from Nova Scotia Scottish, it's considered normal, but if someone from Boston says it they get insulted.

I have 2 theories:

>1.) Americans are expected to have their own culture and identity whereas Canadians, Kiwis, and Aussies, are just seen as overseas extensions of their original colonisers

2.) No one in Europe wants to be associated with Americans in any way.

The founding fathers were lousy with "royalist patriots," who hated Brit Parliment but fully believed in the near divinity and authority of a monarch.
This is why they gave the President a ridiculous amount of power, far more than any contemporary constitutional monarch. Their idea being that a president would do in reality, what a monarch only could in theory. (Also why paintings of Washington were made to look almost divine) Pic is the Apotheosis of Washington, literally his ascension to a diety in the heavens, a very monarchial ideology.

We make joke memes of Trump as a Roman emperor or god, the founding fathers did the same but it wasn't a meme.

It is really hard to be American and at the same time heavily associate yourself with your ancestors heritage for many reasons.

1. Lack of knowledge of ancestors
2. Your ancestors came from twelve countries, making it impossible to associate with any of them.
3. Ancestors' native language and customs were forgotten through the generations
4. Family becomes Americanized to the point they associate themselves more with America than their homeland.


The only thing I have ever known about muh heritage was the family crest. Despite these things it doesn't mean a American family wants to forget their ancestors. My father's and step father's family have tracked their lineage pretty well, but they see no need to take up their ancestor's customs.


Americans who call themselves Irish Americans because they had a great great great uncle who was Irish are just like Japanese people who say their lineage is a samurai lineage despite the fact that most Japanese come from commoner families. Americans just make a better ass out of ourselves.

99.99% of the time I would say yes, but if you and your family are putting up fierce resistance from absorbing even the littlest bit of American culture/mannerism/etc into their family I would consider them just annoying migrants.

Whenever someone immigrates from one country to another for a long term/permanent basis they should at least adapt certain things. The relationship between the immigrant and country should be a give and take, not the immigrant takes and the country receives nothing.

At the same time, Americans feel odd when a new immigrant attempts to become American to the point where the immigrant starts to shun and erase every part of their culture and mannerisms from their home country.To me, it seems like identity death.

My family came from what was Czechoslovakia.
My realitive hates our ancestors so much they don't even tell me what their names were.
I don't even know what it's like to have muh heritage.
