On Nuutinpäivä, there has been a tradition somewhat analogous to modern Santa Claus, where young men dressed as a goat (Finnish: Nuuttipukki) would visit houses. Usually the dress was an inverted fur jacket, a leather or birch bark mask, and horns. Unlike Santa Claus, Nuuttipukki was a scary character (cf. Krampus). The men dressed as Nuuttipukki wandered from house to house, came in, and typically demanded food from the household and especially leftover alcoholic beverages. In Finland the Nuuttipukki tradition is still living at areas of Satakunta, Southwest Finland and Ostrobothnia. However, nowadays the character is usually played by children and now involves a happy encounter.[9]

Actually this Swedish goat is literally related to cuckoldry.
In Swedish a cuckold is called "horned"(hanrej).
Traditionally in pagan times this goat masked cuckold and his wife roamed across the village with the other villagers getting to fuck her while he watched.

Only half right. Some families here tell their children that the Christchindli (Christ child) brings them their presents.
But we also have a Father Christmas type figure called Samichlaus, and his helper Schmutzli, where actual family friends dress up as those and visit the houses, bring a sack full of peanuts , clementines and sweets, and have the children cite verses for them. Unless the kid was good and learns a verse, Schmutzli whips them with a bundle of sticks and Samichlaus takes them back to the forest in the same bag with which he brought the sweets. Or at least that's what they tell the kids. They often have a donkey too.
