The murder rate statistic is flawed because it only counts "St. Louis City" which is a county including only 300,000 people, almost entirely the inner city and some lower-middle class suburbs in the south. There are another 2 million+ people in "St. Louis County" and St. Charles county around the city. There is nothing wrong with "fly over" states. It depends on the type of person you are, for some its a perfect fit. I've lived in both, so I got to experience both sides. I prefer the coast, but if I was older and settled down I could live my life out there easily.

St. Louis is full of (the worst) niggers. It's where Ferguson is which is where BLM started. But it also has some of the whitest comfiest places in the US. STL is also full of tourist attractions you may like and it has a lot of history.

Kansas City is a decent city that was stolen from Kansas. I just think it lacks the history and culture of old STL. But, STL is nearly as fucked as Detroit these days.

You got Silver Dollar City down in Branson which is a pretty theme park I love to visit. Branson also has a few more tourists attractions I would recommend visiting there.

Missouri also has a few foods, mostly from STL, it's famous for.

Missouri is a nice comfy place with a few hillbilly shitholes scattered here and there. I would definitely recommend moving there as it does have some very cozy little towns and decent gun laws. Pretty nice place but be careful in St Louis. Don't wander too much in North County and don't you fucking DARE wander into East STL or you will be fucking dead in an instant. West County and much of the rest of STL is perfectly safe though. The city is similar to Chicago in that matter. One or two parts of the city are absolute shit but the rest are great. Kansas City should be safer honestly but it does have blacks as well so make sure you keep moving if everything starts getting darker around you.

The problem with this, I think, is that America is a very different country from basically every other country in the sense that it's defined by its effective lack of a 'native' population. The whole point of America thus far has been to be the beacon of freedom for oppressed people to find a better life. Anyone who comes to America can become American, as opposed to a country like Japan or Germany, etc., where things aren't that simple.

I don't necessarily think this absolutely has to continue exactly like that, but we need to be very careful if we're redefining the US in this way. Like "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free" is still the defining characteristic of this country, but it's getting... complicated now
