How is it like living on an Island, does it feel different somehow?

You're never very far from the seaside, which is nice I guess.
>>69193241
It feels safer and secure, like a world apart. You can look out over the sea and feel secure in the miles of sea between you and the brits... except the fucking northerners.

fuck you too, id feel a lot safer on the road if i didn't see southern license plates
>>69193241
No.
>>69193241
Doesn't cross my mind.
>>69193241
Feels normal.
>>69193241
sometimes I worry if I stretch too far I will hit the other side
I would prefer to live on the mainland, I think. You can just jump on a train anywhere in Europe-travel is much easier

But there's a tunnel to the Mainland. Paris is three hours away by Train from London, and you don't even notice crossing the Channel.

Same. Maybe it's because where I live is nowhere near the coast.
Probably no different if you live on the coast already in terms of beaches/fishing. For New Zealand it's less being an Island, than the overall isolation that makes things different.
