This is typical spanish.

Not the fucking torero hat, not the mexican sombrero.

The thing is, we have this completely ficticious image about us abroad where people uses torero hats and what happens in the end is that foreigners get a completely fake image of us, and in the end nobody actually knows anything about the real Spain and real Spaniards.

But the most practical and the most used everywhere, independently of the region, social class or whatever, was the boina (castillian variant), used everywhere in Spain. The "regional hats" were more than anything something folkloric.
