Estás feliz?, you mean.
Even if you go formal plural it would be "Estais Feliz?". Nobody uses subjects.
But I appreciate your effort.

Vos=tu in latin america
>>69106691
Vós is the plural for of "tu". "Você" is used instead of "tu" in Brazil.
I thought you were correcting the dude from American to Euro Portuguese, but now I realize that you're just a CHI
We're in the middle of a fucking summer and it's 32°C in my city. No fucking way I'm happy.

He is right, you are wrong, end of the story burger. We dont use vos or tu for that kind of phrasing, thats what he was trying to say, you already know he is referring to "tu" since "estas" is already in second singular form.

All people here should to answer something like this:
Sim, Eu sou feliz! Eu devo beber vinho um pouco!
Sim :) A argentina é um país incrível :D
>>69107672
why? only unitedstatians are forced to be happy all the time
>>69106548
Vos is only used as a plural in Mexican and Castillan spanish, most latin anerica use vos as tu so theres that.
>>69107758
In here we still use tu (unlike in Brazil), but use vocês instead of vós (like Brazil (and French, I believe)).
Some rural/interior places still use vós, though, and it is contagious. Sounds very formal and declamative.
>>69104199
No. On the verge of suicide. It's 37C here.
>>69107806
>In here we still use tu (unlike in Brazil)
In Rio Grande do Sul we use tu.
>>69107873
True, I always forget, but then you don't conjugate the verb and use third person still, don't you?
We use "tu" all the time, is what I meant.
>>69104199
Sim eu sou, graças a Deus
>>69107907
Not him, but I'm also from the south.
Sometimes use the right third person, or at least a corrupted form of it. "Tu tais", "tu queis", etc.
>>69108291
Weird. I feel like we (Portuguese and Brazilians alike) should bring the plural form of the second person.
That and the Pretérito Mais-que-perfeito conjugation. It's so rarely used, but so helpful, sometimes. So unambiguous and latin-sounding.
"Tinha estado" sounds a lot worse than "estara".
Eu quero um pouco de cafe, por favor!
>>69107278
I feel your pain huefriend, although we have comfy 21°C today

not him, but where is he wrong? he said vos=tu in some LA countries. you are right that the pronoun is not even needed here but that doesn't change the fact the portuguese anon got confused and instead of admitting that he just said ah "you are just a CHI". nice
