So I'm reading this book about an Englishman that was captured by the Tonga people and made a member of a royal household. In this early 19th century book, there's a sidenote:
>The idea of eating raw fish is not one of the least revolting to the imagination; and we are too readily disposed to believe, that nothing but excessive hunger could render this species of food unpalatable.
>But the fact is, raw fish is a very palatable diet, and is accordingly eaten as a matter of choice, not necessity. Being strongly reassured of this fact by Mr. Mariner, I made the trial, and repeated it several times upon mackerel, salmon, and turbot, and found the assertion perfectly correct.
>If we eat the oyster raw, why not the other fish?
I love reading.
But he is saying sushi is good even though it's raw

Yeah no, but this was like a wonder discovery to him. The author is communicating that the general consensus is that raw fish is pig disgusting.

eating anything raw should be disgusting to a normal person
Even more so in the 19th century
We eat northern fish raw. It has no parasites.

You got a California roll but with cheese instead of crab. California rolls should be illegal.

>WE
you mean richfags

Haha, the worst. Supermarkets here always do that.
A furit salad is still a furit salad when wrapped on rice.
