English lesson in kindergarten.
back when my family escaped to USA to escape communist persecution.
I was put into an English speaking kindergarten at age 3, so probably that.

I suppose 9/11 interviews with New Yorkers which french newspapers hadn't dubbed over, probably to not drown out the "emotion" of those interviewed.
From then onwards I've associated those to utter words of english with people that whine about towers. Strange how things turn out.
