It's not really noticeable, but the way we speak English is different to how normal Anglos would. The syntax gets reversed quite often because we've lifted the structure from Irish to English, and just translated phrases.

Like, if you're agreeing with a statement that someone's said, you can just said "sure that's it" (because the Irish was sin é). "Sure look" is another saying that has no meaning at all.

So to sum up that point, the messing with the time travel plot reduces the in-universe significance and sense of threat of Terminator 1's story.

Further, the aesthetics and tone of Terminator 2 reduce the dark and oppressive attitude of the first one from "tense thriller" to "rowdy raucous action movie", keeping only the bare minimum of the "chase" plot to keep the sequels passable, though not deserving of greater praise (except perhaps T2 for its special effects use).

In Terminator 1, the "memes" and catchphrases felt more natural in the plot, giving the sense of the robot being awkward and alien in human society, whereas T2 Terminator is pure "bathos" and deliberate lackadaisicality - the robot is deliberately goofy, and the violence isn't there so much as to establish the threat of the bad guy and the risk to the goodies, it's there for its own sake as sensory-overloading distractions. Admittedly it is very good at doing that, perhaps one of the best movies at that of all time, but it's not the same type of movie as Terminator 1, and I don't think Terminator 1 deserved to be undermined so that T2 could exist.

I actually loved Terminator 3, because it's a deconstruction of everything I didn't like that they changed between Terminator 1 and 2.
Arnold is tired, John Connor is crazed from looking over his shoulder constantly, and both of them look rightly fed up with the whole time travel shenanigans, and the woman they drag along with them takes the piss out of both the science fiction and the time travel determinism.

This whole scene bumped the movie to an 11/10 for me. One of the best comedy films of all time.

Only noticed recently how small a lot of girls on the east coast are, like below 5'6". I always just assumed they were Junior-Cert students based on the average height back in the Wesht, but I've observed people I know from uni standing next to each other and the fact that everyone's wearing raincoats is obscuring optical illusions both tall and short girls would use to make themselves seem more average, and I can't help but come to the conclusion that shorter women are more common than I had realised or had observed in my native region.

I actually noticed the opposite. Girls here in Dublin seem to be taller and girls in places like Galway seem to be shorter.
