You are absolutely right about the summers, the humidity sits around 100% and the temperature is at least 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees centigrade).
I think they moved down here because the winters are maximum comfy. There isn't much snow, not nearly as much as Wisconsin, and it's still, at most, in the mid 40s Fahrenheit (~7 degrees centigrade).
My father hates all the weather here, however, he clearly prefers Wisconsin, even after all these years.

Yeah, both my parents are from Wisconsin and so was most of my other family.
I've spent a lot of time up there and it's a beautiful place.
Literally all their stories have to do with a bar, beer, or winter.
I love Wisconsin, but I could easily see how the snow could be sickening, which is probably a bit of the reason why they moved to Tennessee.

My town and the surrounding towns are all 95+% non-hispanic white.
I rarely see any black people, much less mexicans or other foreigners.

I can literally not imagine anything in particular about Missouri. Weather is somewhere inbetween, geography is somewhere inbetween, culture is somewhere inbetween, it's not known for a particular industry, nothing, just nothing. All that comes to mind are six lane strip malls with Walmarts on both sides, and Walmart isn't even from Missouri.

right here on the illinois missouri border, I drive over the mississippi to buy gas in missouri cause its cheaper.
