I post on reddit lately when I'm drunk.

I make absolutely terrible posts that I wouldn't even post here and I get hundreds of upboats. I'm surprised that they only banned me once.

Back in high school civics class, our teacher tailored the entire class to be about how good "social media" and Zuckerberg was. About how facebook made the Arab spring possible and so on. We had at least one assignment that involved writing a facebook post.

The teacher even went as far as foricng the few students who didn't use fb to make accounts for the sake of the class.

Fuck, just thinking about it makes my blood boil.

That sucks, I know some colleges sometimes use a special closed platform for students to discuss on a forum, but Facebook seems ridiculous. Back when I was in highschool MySpace was still a thing so there was no need to take internet communication as serious business.

The very same high school teacher once gave us the assignment to skim through a newspaper and count how many times men and women were mentioned, respectively. In the end, the result was about fifty fifty, but the teacher still managed to cram in the moral of that class, namely that women were underrepresented compared to men.
