I've played Rhodoks consistently and they are indeed the masterrace faction compared to everyone else.

All you have to do is have a shitload of Sergeants and place them on a large hill, and then simply wait for the enemy to charge at you.

It works almost everytime. Except for cowardly Khergit horse archers. That's where you need crossbowmen and sergeants to counter them.

Unless you were on Normal difficulty, Easy difficulty pretty much allows Swadian knights to be OP anywhere.

The moment you slide it to Normal difficulty is when your carefully trained knights get the BTFO. Especially when you're besieging other castles.

In sieges, archers really shine.
I'm finding it difficult to take forts filled with Vaegirs because of the archers, I've just rebelled you see.

Vaegirs are the real stars of siege battles because their archers do perverse amounts of damage, and their cavalry is probably better than the Sarranids'.

it goes it goes it goes:
Swadia > Vaegirs > Sarranids > Rhodoks > Khergits > Nords

what are your favorite mods? hispania is neat, 1257 is fantastic, dickplomacy is best vanilla. not played a ton of it, but the last days is pretty impressive. lots of changes that I need to wrap my mind around though

Huscarls + Rhodok Sharpshooters is the best combination, but with how difficult it is running back and fort between Nord and Rhodok lands (especially with wars going on) Rhodok Sergeants are the next best thing.
