Also, that is not the monarchic flag (flipped colours and no crown), just a reinvention of the true colours of a sea-faring country. Why the fuck do we not have blue on our flag.

Our current flag IS our original flag. All other flags used before it were never officially adopted. We just used the Union Jack most of the time until the early 1900s when we started using this, and then just before WWII we started use that one
