IMO still the best total war game. If you don't care about huge unit variety and all that fancy stuff in the later total war games and you want more of a challenge then sure. You can get DLCs if you want more unique stuff tho, but they don't really change the campaign much. Also the campaign doesn't have the stupidly complex province micromanaging of Rome 2, which is good.

I don't know whether the multi is dead or not, it's been years and last time i played multi it was a cancer bow cav spammer.

Rome was the best total war game, but there is no point in playing against AI.

They should have improved multiplayer campaign, instead they make new shitty engine, historical periods and monsters. Total War = garbage.
