What do you think, if true, why is it regulated?

>regulated
Not yet.

Some laws apply on YT, like the hate speech laws and the mass media laws (a channel with more than 2 000 visitors a day is considered mass media by the law btw).
>>
>>68141429
What are mass media laws? What do they entail?
>>
>>68141460
I don't really feel like being 100% qualified in this, honestly.
It has something to do with the registration of the mass media, taxation, copyrights and all the variety of minor laws regarding journalism. In general, I think it's useless for YT, it just increases the bureaucracy.
>>
>>68141460
It means that they have to think before talk or something like that. But nobody cares actually.
>>

Google translated:
>Websites or accounts owners that are visited by more than three thousand members a day, obliged to verify the accuracy of information posted, follow the rules of election campaigning, don't distribute information about the private lives of citizens, not to disseminate extremist materials, and specify an age limit for users. Also, now major bloggers must indicate online their name and initials, as well as e-mail address for "legal notes".
>>
>>68141514
It has nothing to do with taxation and bureaucracy.

How come all the laws regarding mass medias aren't applied to YT? Popular blogs are officially considered as mass medias, aren't they?

No, they aren't.

Oh stop it, don't believe western propaganda. Our media are free sometimes too free and non regulated
>>
You're not allowed to be a sodomite vlogger and normalize your filth
>>
Are there few possibilities that a government regulates it really?
>>

For now answer is NO. Russians quite uptight about the Internet nowadays.
