But seriously, Goa/Timor/Macau are pretty great for their regions.

An interesting thing I noticed is that all our colonies have great food, even the ones where people don't get to eat often. It was worth it just for that, desu.

South African-based franchise, but it's Mozambican cuisine. It either started here or there, but the real name is "Frango de Churrasco". I think Nando's has a franchiseable version of it, but it's not very authentic.

Vindaloo/Modern Curry was created in Portuguese India (Vinha d'Alhos) with spices brought from Brazil (they had black-pepper-based curry).

Brazil is a whole world of food, and even in Africa you have some pretty nice stuff. Eh, could've been a lot worse.

I guess it makes sense since spices and food was almost never too expensive for us, so we incorporated it well both in the mainland and in the colonies, something that the Dutch never did, despite dethroning us.

Francesinhas is the meme food, because delicious as it is, it is pretty simple to make. Most of our cuisine is actually pretty good and balanced between Mediterranean (soups, olive oil, wines, hard-crust breads, etc) and Atlantic (lots and lots of fish).

We have the typical Mediterranean dishes, except we don't use nearly as much tomato as the Spaniards or the Italians. If you want examples of specifically Portuguese food, look up stuff like:
Cozido à Portuguesa
Feijoada à Portuguesa
Bitoque
Açorda
Morcela
Chouriço Assado (it's different from Spanish chorizo)
Tons and ton of sweet deserts

And then you have bacalhau:
