I must say I like Italian people.
Once in a while grandparents tell me stories about WW2. Unlike Balkanites, Italians were mostly meme invaders, they would start playing and chasing after frogs and rabbits with the local kids. The ones that surrendered afterwards had to live with Albanian families until they could return to Italy, one per family and same happened to the Germans that were left. My family lived with an Italian and they describe him as a kind and hard-working soldier who hated war. His name was Antonio. Even after he left to Italy in 45s they kept the good relations through letters (before Hoxha went bunkers that is). This is only for the central and southern part at least.
