Post cool weapons from your cunt
Pic is a shotel from medieval Abyssinia

That weapon looks very impractical. The curvatures seem so unnecessary.

There are plenty of advantages with a hook. Elite shotel swordsmen of the imperial army could tear calvarymen off their horses. The hook features allows for extra reach around shields/kinks in armory/etc.

Curves are for cutting
It's very practical ya dumdum

>MENA Gundam with swords
You have to go back.
GOAT ABM
here is a late-era ottoman sidearm
>>67970555
Apparently it was so they could stab around shields. I'm serious. Like Dr Seuss was their king or some shit.
>>67970396
>>67970555
Yeah it's definitely a ceremonial version or something. The handle looks poorly designed too. As a generally rule for everything in life, but especially so for weapons of any kind: simplistic and succinct is superior. That's not to say a blade can't have curves like this but I think the practical version would have slightly different curves and better designed everything else.
>>67975446
>no hand guard
One parry and your fingers are on the ground mate
This is russian blade this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
>>67975575
its a late-era side-arm, civilian weapon. wasn't used against other swords as much as its owners had guns
soldiers expected to enter melee combat carried swords like this
I'd totally carry a sword around even if it looks autistic
>>67975764
>Capes and swords will never come back in style
>>67975806
ceremonial swords never went out of style. There's a reason every military academy in our country has swords they use for show.
>>67975688
I like this sword and the many others around the world like it, but this particular one in the pic looks dull as fuck.
>>67975806
Feels bad man.
As autistic as it sounds now I wanna wear long fur cloaks and carry around swords
>>67975764
>>67975896
this tbqh
t. other finn
>>67975896
That seems like something you could get away with in the homeland of Spurdo.
>>67975866
Medieval longswords and other weapons have gone out of style.
Cloaks and longswords are the most aesthetic
>>67975764
>even if it looks autistic
you're finnish, you'd still fit right in
>>67975914
>longsword
>more aesthetic than beautiful nippon katana folded thousands of times
>>67975910
It would attract attention. Which is the worst thing here.
In America you could make a fool of yourself in public no problem because nobody will know who you are because there's so many people.
In Finland there's not many people in small towns so people you know will see you
>>67975933
Cloaks hoods and longswords are a top tier aesthetic.
Katana is just autism tier but still pretty cool I'll admit
Most aesthetic weapon
Prove me wrong
>>67975937
The Finland that exists in my imagination is the Finland of the memes. Please don't destroy that for me anon.
>>67970396
>>67975967
This is literally slav link sword
Finns may be autistic, but I have to give them credit for making the KP-31, the best submachine gun ever.
It dubs as both a weapon and a walking stick. Nowdays we make canes that look like it since no one needs to carry it as a weapon anymore.
>>67976128
I like this. Looks practical.
Ignore the swordniggers
>>67976128
>Nowdays we make canes that look like it since no one needs to carry it as a weapon anymore.
You finally took care of your vampire infestation? Good for you, mang.
>>67976153
It eventually got called "shepherd's axe" because shepherds carried it and they walked all over the carpathians with their sheep. Poles, slovaks, hungarians and romanians all have a variation of it and call it differently. It's kind of like the seax of the saxons of old: It's a sidearm and a tool.
>>67976174
No, we took care of the cockroach infestation in 1800's.
>>67975967
Sorry senpai but debate is closed on that item.
>>67976183
>>67976128
Pretty interesting, looks a lot like early climbing axes.
>>67976017
That's a beautiful design
>>67970396
Pictured has a place of honor amongst our historic weapons

Low hanging fruit m8
I give you, the Lancaster.
>>67976261
This one is the best so far
>>67973309
>have giant war mechs
>still be occupied by third world american niggers
>>67976293
Mechs will never make sense. From a tactical stand point they're the same as tanks and tanks are obsolete.
>>67976261
kek

>Mechs will never make sense.
youre fucking dumb 3rd world nigger
>>67976353
Why are Poles on /int/ so angry and belligerent?
>>67976353
Mechs are trash from a tactical standpoint.
>>67976366
why are murkans so 3rd world and niggerish?
>>67976256
I saw the opportunity and couldn't not take it.
>>67976353
Close range assets aint shit anymore. Battleships were obsolete during WW2.
Your dumb ass would spend a shit ton on Mechs and then they would all get BTFO by cheap drones being piloted from thousands of miles away.
>>67976377
another 3rd world nigger, this one escaped to prisoner island
>>67976379
Well some of us of course are literal niggers. But I'm not.
>>67976390
OK, I can't blame you desu. Probably would have done the same thing myself.
Definitely this.
Worst Korean on vacation.
Admiral Yi's ceremonial sword. I think the sheer size of this is pretty cool.
>>67976043
>slav
there are two swastikas on it you fucking dolt

Shit banter, m8.
>>67976044
>best submachine gun ever
Doesn't look like a PPSH 41 to me
>>67976490
It's derived from it you dumb burger.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suomi_KP/-31
It was statistically superior to the one mass produced in the sovietland, thanks to it longer barrel length etc.
literal translation is "Serb cutter"
>>67976044
>what is PPS
>>67976532
There's nothing common between Suomi SMG and PPSh exept for the drum mag.
Long barrel wasn't needed, because Suomi was developed as a sort of a LMG substitute, while soviet army needed a universal SMG for all kinds of troops.
By the way, are there any studies comparing Finnish and Soviet firearms in the terms of quality? Because I constantly hear about "superior Finnish quality" yet I've never seen any proofs.
>100 years and counting, still in service to a degree
>>67973309
Shit.
Sazabi with a beam shotgun is cooler
>>67976750
Lol, for starters, read the article. Secondly use common sense. Kp was never mass produced in such a scale that it would be unstable were as PPSH was known for not being the most field reliable weapon. And the longer barrel of Kp also gave it better accuracy. Those things combined made it better. The minus of course was that it was made reliable and had ridiculously high production cost.
Does +5 against lebs
Falcata.
Lusitanian sword.
And more recently the Black Carack sword
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carracks_black_sword
>>67976964
PPSh was pretty reliable, except for the early production versions.
bumping with this
>>67979423
Why did so many gun producers loved their AT rifles with the magazine on top? Japs, finns, brits.
>>67980849
i think it's because you can prop it on the ground without having to pick up the gun everytime you reload it
>>67980849
Imagine this gun with mag on the bottom. Reloading is a pain in the arse, less ground clearance so the bipod/mount has to be taller (and heavier) and it exposes the shooter more.
>>67977688
This nigguh knows what's up
>>67980991
It could feature a side magazine like Soloturn guns or a sort of PTRS-like reloading.
Best anti-tank weapon
>>67984536
maybe for AT-ST

This wacky transporter was built in 13 days by the resistance movement in the Nazi occupied Warsaw from various junk and scraps. Carried 10 people, a machine gun, and a home-made flamethrower.

>sword is a shit melee weapon
I agree with you, Poland
