someday African countries, Angola and Mozambique for example, will be developed and they mostly speak Portuguese.
So learning Portuguese is worthy now
Agree?

If you like the language, how it sounds, there's no reason not to learn it.
But it won't be relevant and the countries you mentioned still have a long way to go.
>>67898855
Someday, maybe.
Doubt any of us will live to see it, though.

If I master Portuguese, it means I master Spanish a little bit?
>>67899803
Sort of. Most commonly-used words are different, but the non-basic words are very similar, so a basic course in Spanish would be enough to bridge from mastering Portuguese to mastering Spanish.
Sounds-wise, Spanish has a subset of sounds of Portuguese, so it's definitely easier - just open all vowels and you got it.
Pic related is Portuguese on the left and Spanish on the right.

I like luso counties and i love the sound of Br Portuguese so i'm learning.
Timor seems cool also if those other luso nations develop it will be useful.
I think about retireing to the Br countryside

You can learn for when Brazil becames a superpower in 2020
>>67898855
Just you learn spanish and you can kill one and a half birds with one stone.
>>67898855
>they mostly speak Portuguese.
Not really
Also you might find ok cities here and there but i don't think Africa in general will be properly developed any time soon

I should learn French instead?
>>67904857

Don't listen to >>67904918 frogs are full of gimmicks. They don't like you, but we do.
>>67898855
it's why the Chinese are learning Portuguese
>>67898855
I stayed in Mozambique and that country is just too far behind to really be developed anytime soon.
Maputo is like a shithole out of a sci-fi movie and the countryside is barely even administered by the government.
African "countries" are basically just the capital city leeching wealth of the countryside, with the powers that be maintained by force and force alone in good ol' colonial fashion.
Until a Julius Caesar tier redpilled guy erases half the countries and unites them Africa will continue to be a fucking joke for as long as we live and more.

>Maputo
Triggered
Hate the WE WUZ name, it will always be Lourenço Marques to me

>>67906257
I don't think Africans are suposed to look like that
>>67906257
I'd agree, but it sort of triggers me to have cities named after people, or with multiple words for the name. Same for cities named after objects, for some reason.
>>67906730
Porto must trigger you
I agree though
>>67907169
Not gonna lie, but it does a little bit, and I'm from the north.
>>67904857
Yes

Just like France and Paris
>>67898855
>Agree?
You might be dead by then. But following that logic learning French would be even smarter.
>>67908502
Nuke any city with over 10 million people imo
>>67904637
>"other"
>literally one country
why don't they just say Amharic
>>67916003
Madagascar, Somalia and the Gambia should be yellow-green too.
The country replacing Sudan and South Sudan doesn't exist and should be green.
>>67916408
And Rwanda should be blue
