To tell you the truth, perhaps Europe talks of Edrogan, but you must understand in the U.S. our media almost never speaks of him. What we know about Turkey we are left on our own to find out. Our media only tells us about things they want us to have an opinion of.

I don't dislike them, but their culture (post-Ataturk) is fundamentally opposed to European culture and they shouldn't become part of the EU.

The EU has already stretched its wings far enough in attempt to dissolve national identities into a blended-up "europeanness", but once you extend that to non-European cultures (Islamic Turkey), that union no longer has anything uniting it apart from globalist dystopia and racial conflict.
