Are these countries the real ubermensch?
>ravaged by centuries of brutal colonialism and fascism
>left with to pick up the pieces by all themselves
>slowly becoming more relevant throughout the decades even though they weren't rebuilt like Japan, Korea, Germany etc etc were
How did they do this?
With anime

Which anime?
Because these countries are the two best at having sex.

I've heard China/India would be a much better place to live if there population wasn't so high. So the opposite really.
>>67801387
The Silk Road will thrive again!
even though i am an optimist they have some infrastructure and environmental problems that cannot be easily solved due to the massive population pressure
any annual flooding or typhoon can entirely wreck their agriculture produce and have major impact on populations
global warming will affect these country the greatest etc and so on
their relevance comes from the population but without the next breakthrough they are stuck in the industrializing state
1. China wasn't colonised by whites
2. The only island that was has democracy and is rich
so much for 'ravaging' - free tech and philosophy, and instead of the taxes going to indolent princes, it went to European traders, boo hoo. Everybody gets colonised at some point.
>>67802230
This exactly. Are you really American? Didn't expect this level of intelligence from an American!
>>67802309
i was born in one of those two
>>67802327
Damn I knew it.
>>67802230
I thought China was already industrialized?
>>67802300
>The only island that was has democracy and is rich
*blushes* T-thanks.
Although it's unfair to call us a colonized country in comparison to India/China. Apples and oranges.
> free tech and philosophy,
Only a tiny segment of the countries were modernized. This was done intentionally as it helped our interests in keeping people dumb.
Not to mention being robbed for resources and wealth and all.
>>67802679
it is in a shadow relationship to the deep blue, anything the deep blue needs it makes
it doesn't have the economic power or leverage to make other countries make the things it needs, it only consumes the things west produces for the each other
if china was replaced by another country no one would notice the difference
>>67802917
You Chinese?
>>67802679
I think he meant Hong Kong
>>67801387
Korea wasnt rebuilt. It remained a war-torn shithole until President Park decided to get some shit done through benevolent dictatorship.
lol you can't compare China with India
They have the same population, but China's GDP is over 5x larger.
Think about that shit first.
>>67802300
>2. The only island that was has democracy and is rich
If you're referring to Taiwan... it's actually not doing so well compared to China. Over the past 10-15 years, real wages have actually decreased, housing prices are skyrocketing, and many Taiwanese are going abroad, including to China, for higher pay. There are also a ton of young entrepreneurs in Taiwan now because regular jobs don't pay nearly enough.

I have a question for India or China. Do you guys like eachother, or will we see a war between the two most populated countries soon?
>>67807869
That can't be true, Taiwan is a first world country that isn't covered in toxic pollution like every Chinese city.
>>67802300
>philosophy
>he doesn't know about eastern philosophy.
>>67807927
there is some brotherhood and no one wants a war
>>67807927
>Do you guys like eachother,
we don't love each other.
>or will we see a war between the two most populated countries soon?
it's highly unlikely this is ever going to happen. 1962 war was probably the hawkish thing to ever happen to India and China in the last 4000 years.
>>67802230
>their relevance comes from the population
bs
makes it more difficult to have relevance or keep in one piece (spcially these two have separatism all over)
indonesia has 250k people and is complete shit

Taiwan is less polluted, but the economy is still not doing well. There seems to be a small amount of relief as this year housing prices fell by less than 2%, but it's barely made a dent, and salaries are still too low. Young Taiwanese can't afford a home. It's also putting pressure on cities around Taipei, as people buy up homes there and commute to the capital.
>A growing economy typically should see wages grow faster than inflation. This has been the case for most of Taiwan’s peers: From 2000 to 2011, real wages - or wages minus inflation - rose an average of 3.8% a year in South Korea, 1.8% in Singapore and 0.8% in Hong Kong, according to calculations by DBS economist Ma Tieying.
>But in Taiwan, workers’ real salaries have actually seen zero growth in that time period, Ma says. Real monthly wages for the first seven months of this year came in at NT$44,360 (US$1,513), down from NT$45,469 over the same period in 2003.
>The low salaries paid to Taiwan's quality talent have become a constraint on the country's economic growth.
>Low salaries are the main factor driving the outflow of talent from Taiwan. The issue of adjusting the salary structure in the country to deal with the problem should be a major concern for both the ruling Kuomintang and the opposition Democratic Progressive Party.

China positions itself only as a passive aggressor against India by logistically helping pakistan.
For all it's worth, they would like to keep India busy in the little skirmish here and there.
A direct confrontation will be bad for both economies, and they know that too.

No. Currently China and India are in a state mirroring the United States' Industrial Revolution.
During that period of time, we were adjusting from being an agrarian society to an industrial one. Because agrarian societies place so much pressure on having lots of kids, it turns out that we don't need so many when we automate them out of a job, and thus is the problem.
America didn't have a big focus on overpopulation, because it was one of the first countries to industrialize. We did it slowly, and gave our population enough time and wars to dwindle and meet the new population demands of a post-industrial society.
China and India have no such buffer period. They jumped straight from Agrarian to Industrial in a mere few generations, and are suffering the consequences.
america is not a great comparison to the india or china
america had a divided economy slaves (not making loads of people) for heavy large agriculture versus tiny tenant farming and northern us has been industrializing since the colonial times, as the green revolution happened the farms become bigger and bigger, in china after the overthrow of the land owners they became smaller and smaller, rurals rent small patches of land for migrants to work on
heaven and earth

Dumbasses comparing China and India again, baka.
One of these has a 11 trillion economy, the other has a 2 trillion. They have the same population. You understand? One has a service-based that skipped manufacturing economy, and the other has manufacturing transitioning into services.
