1. I don't remember, I'm sure there were a couple airing on TV when I was a little kid. Dragon ball, dragon ball z, slayers and a few more that I never found the names of later. So it's hard to say which was the absolute first.

I saw the premiere of SAC at an anime convention. Theatre sized screen, amazing sound system. Had never been exposed to GiTS before, it was absolutely incredible. Blew me the fuck away. I think I almost cried, since then I've never seen an anime as good.
