Are moonfags elitist? I saw the thread on /int/ and many outed themselves as awful posters.

I haven't cared for DJT in years, but if you queer faggots are blogging shit eaters nowadays then fuck off and kill yourselves
>>
>>67774465
Nah, we just like learning Japanese. There are a couple of retarded blogposters, but they're ignored and reported. Of course, it's easier to just blame the whole thread and delete it, instead of just banning the actual problem of BR posters.

How is this even remotely a problem?
>>
>>67774469
There's legitimately a guy, maybe 2, who comes into every thread and posts absolute garbage for 16 hours straight, then goes to sleep and starts all over again in the morning.

Nobody even responds to him anymore, but he keeps doing it. Go through the catalogue, and look at any lower-case post.

I don't mean it like that. I think it's a wonderful thing if you learn a language and become more competent at it as a result. I don't really lurk /djt/ and I've only read through a handful of threads in the archive. I just wondered if there are many anons who study Japanese that dislike others who don't do the same.

Do you know how some people vent their frustration by saying "wah wah every thread is bad"? They found a mod stupid enough to follow through.

At first I felt like stopping my translation works, but then I would be part of the cancer killing /a/.

And anyway, this shit will go down when some mod bans a discussion thread of an airing show.
>>
>>67774478
Won't this mean the stroke order gets displayed on absolutely everything though? I don't want it to show on webpages or on the question side of the flash card.
>>
>>67774486
Real talk; why not just dump it onto /jp/? It's not like current /jp/ has much ground to complain when they've got /s/ tier threads on it that are ok because the women are japanese. It's a slow board too, so there's no need to try and maintain the thread.

Anyways, anyone know if you can see the past JLPT tests, after 2010? Doing an N3 this december, I'd like to see what I'm in for.

If you're the same anon from /a/, fuck off.

N3 is the minimum requirement to most jobs, since it's the intermediate level, they do expect you to improve though. I'm finishing uni in the summer, and I would like to start working, and since there are only two exams per year, I'm taking the one that I have a bigger chance at.

I know for a fact that most companies, especially manufacturers, start accepting you if you're above N3, you don't even need N2, but obviously they prefer it. You also need to be fluent in English. If they hire you, they expect you to improve. I actually know what it takes to be hired, I have friends who are working at these companies as personal assistants and translators.

No, I'm the kind of guy who thinks JLPT is absolutely fucking retarded, as it's a language test that requires no oral examination, you don't have to put together a text, like a letter on your own, and you don't have to write fucking anything, but do a multiple choice.
JLPT as a language exam is a horrible shitfest, but sadly its the only exam that the japanese take seriously for whatever reason.

At last I truly see. I am convinced that the mods are not autistic. No no no no no. It's something else. They are intentionally trying to ruin the 4chan userbase by doing this kind of thing. By changing the 4chan envorinment, the old users go away and the website can accomodate the wider web. The so called newfags, redditors and normies will flood 4chan in even larger extents, to the point you might start see 4chan posts republished on your Jewbook feed. It's all part of Hiroyuki's plan to make 4chan more and more profitable. Which is also the reason for why 4chan pass powers have been made more powerful and he changed the ads system.

I started browsing DJT 2 years ago or so and continued to do so regularly until now. This is true we've had problems and cancerous users lately but for this can be said for literally anywhere else on 4chan, that's just how internet or our website is.

DJT has helped me tremendously and I'd like to think I've also given back to many lost people in the frustrating but fun journey of learning Japanese. We've had genuinely good people (I'm not counting myself in here) taking their time to help and give to our community without asking anything back and too little credit is given to them (which is for the best since we're all anons after all - just wanted to at least acknowledged them with this very post). From an outsider's perspective this may not be very obvious but a lot of efforts have been put into our website and "learning Japanese as a whole". I've been learning Japanese for many years now and I can assure you there absolutely no better place than DJT to learn the language in the most efficient way you could.

I'm not against changes, sometimes changes are good or needed, but moving DJT to /int/ is a mistake in my opinion. /int/ has many people whose mentality do not go well at all with people from either /a/ or /jp/ (to not call them "normalfags"), the state is of this board is a mess similar to /b/ and to top it all flags are cancerous and just asking for more shitposting and thread derailing.

I wish mods would at least try to discussing this matter with us. Acting the way they do is just not responsible at all considering how old DJT was.

>>
>>67781740
Even though you feel it's wrong, it's how the natives speak Japanese.
>>
>>67781718
Because you're native doesn't mean you're actually good at teaching the language. I wouldn't be able to teach French or English for shit, but I could actually give good teaching advice regarding Japanese because I did study it from a foreigner perspective.

Most Japanese people don't know shit about their own language and how it should be approached from a Westerner perspective.

>sticky also has links
>most of my experience regarding language learning on /int/ has been positive

That's not what I mean. Natives often give wrong answers because of difficulty explaining japanese grammar to people that don't know japanese well.

>>67781837
>>thread has an OP with actual links for helping Japanese speakers
>speakers
There's your problem.
>>
>>67781837

>>
What important is, some Japanese use wrong Eng and teach it like me :D I don't mind tho
>>
>>67781820
yes, I fully agree that you guys are good at teaching Japanese from westerner perspective, but when it comes to a difficult grammar question, you guys sometimes give a wrong answer and no one corrects it.
So if we integrate the Japanese threads and the DJT, the natives can correct the wrong advise because there would be always some natives in the new integrated thread.
