What do they call this in your country, Ute or Pick-up?

pick up
We don't have anything that cool in our country.
It resembles a pickup, but it's more useful. The F250s they rent at Home Depot for $19.99 for 75 minutes are the closest we have. And they're damned useful so long as you hurry.
Pickup.

What does an American ute look like?

I dont get it, what makes this ute more useful than an american pickup?

The Colorado is probably the closest thing in size to the 70 that's available in NA.

We call that "Lava-auto"
Directly translated it would be "Pallet car"
But I guess it's more like a pick-up truck.

its like someone built an un-shrink ray and pointed it at a matchbox car

Here we call it a "I'm a global warming denying Rethuglican" mobile

The bed is closer to a flatbed less likely to be damaged. It has a headache rack. The roo bars, Hellas, and snorkle are a nice touch but it's the mild lift and shallow breakover angles that allow it to be used off road without the fear of scratching the paint or - god fobid - scratching an alloy wheel.
Our pickups are bigger, but so many people buy them without needing them that the whole market has moved upscale and - dare I say - pussified.
Would you haul manure, rocks, or old boards in this (let alone take it off road) ?? What about mud on the leather seats? At US$52K for one?
We need mid-sized, rigged cheap pickups again. White paint, open fenders, flat beds.

Oh yeah, Pic would be helpful. This is the pickup most Americans aspire to, in spite of the vast majority of them living in the 'burbs.
