Finland is definitely not a place for fun. It is a literal heaven if you want to enjoy silcence and nature. Awesome forests, lakes everywhere, no people, perfect ecology. It is the most silent place in the world probably. If you want parties and sex with sluts go to Petersburg that is just a few hundred kms away from Helsinki.

Well, it is definitely easier than finnish. I tried to fina some books for learning finnish but was only able to find "short beginner course for practical talk" and nothing more.

I dunno. As I said I love calm and that's why I love to visit Finland. There are shittons of night clubs in Moscow and Petersburg. Different mass events, people drinking everywhere every drifay, different holidays with public fireworks, open air concerts on citi's squares etc etc etc. I am sure latin countries have it better though.

What ever you do, do not visit Helsinki its fucking horrible place everything is super expensive and has a lot niggers and narcos there. Meanwhile Turku is very comfy and nice place visit. We have many places to visit here also great restraunts which are not expensive to eat. We have beautiful river with lots of restraunt/bar boats, also a lot universities so you can meet more young people from every corner of the world!
tl;dr Helsinki shit dont go there, Turku is great come to Turku.

it happened in every major city but turku is the most notorious example, after ww2 population boom + resettling of karelians there was a massive shortage of available housing so instead of building new expensive neighbourhoods they just demolished all the old wooden buildings and built commieblocks in stead because they were cheap and easy to manufacture

in the 1960's people thouht the post ww2 population boom would continue well into the future so cities were designed for a lot more people than what they actually have, for example my city of 27,000 people was designed for a population of 75,000-125,000

helsinki survived better than other major cities because the commieblocks were built mostly in vantaa and espoo, which are pretty much just suburbs of helsinki
