Second step is to lower global population (only Africa is still crazy), because the resources aren't infinite and global ecosystem is already streched.

Multicultural, multi-ethnic and multireligious societies don't work. Make sure that most or every cultural-religious-ethnic-linguistic group has their own country. After that we need to insure some kind of supra-national authority with the intention of preventing or at least limiting the impact of war.
